Bejeweled colors- Not being afraid of color on your wedding day.
FEBRUARY 21, 2023
Add some color to your wedding!
Your wedding color pallet is an important part of all the details of your celebration. It will set the tone and develop your theme of your big day. 2022 was popular with lighter tones, however, one trend that I would love to see is bold, bright colors in weddings. Don't be scared to be a little edgy.
What will 2023 bring for colors?
Keep it dark and moody with lots of candlelight
As a photographer I have seen a lot of beautiful weddings and a big trend recently has been a lot of terracotta, light peach, sage, or eucalyptus. I do love the soft and dreamy colors that they extrude, but, what do you think of punching it up a little?
Let's say yellow or turquoise or something darker or more bold?
Brittany Gubbel is the creative mastermind of our beautiful session. She loves color and wanted to design something you may not of seen before . Our biggest push is to show brides you can show your style and that it is okay to use color for your big day.
Burgundy, Navy, teal and Gold
My favorite go to colors are bold and timeless. Any one of these colors can easily be in your wedding at any time of year. Are you worried that its too much? Then tell them they can be less! If you are not ready to go all out with the bold, then pick your favorite one bold color and pair it with gilded accents like flatware and table chargers. Burgundy or Teal and gold can easily with lighter and more subdued colors to be a base for your romantic feel no matter the season.
Will your partner rock color?
Is your partner wanting to stand out from his group? Try a dinner jacket instead of a more formal tuxedo. Jackets can be customized in your favorite color. We loved how the black on burgundy with texture really popped.
Not ready to go all out? Try a dark blue or gray suit instead of black. Rock the color in the tie and accessories. Let your personality shine because it is your special day also!
Best thing is that the flowers are in season!
Flowers and centerpieces are your biggest statement you can make. Vibrant hues maybe an unexpected choice but can definitely bring a wow factor. Image if you ask your florist, "What can you create that is new and different with seasonal flowers?" How about a bouquet but something more? Check out a golden hoop or a wreath bouquet. We love how it is not traditional but much easier to carry than your traditional bouquet. You want to know the best part? You don't have to worry about holding your flowers too high! Look how it shows off your ring too!
Our wreath bouquet flows with dreamy vines and vibrant colors.
No matter what color you choose, your big day will be beautiful. Your wedding day represents you and your partner and celebrating being together. Never be afraid to do something you like because these are your memories to share and love years to come.
A Special Thank You!
We put together specialized photo sessions like this one to share visions we have and know others would love them too. We also take these moments to allow vendors to show off styles and talents. Everyone is amazing and am grateful to be able to take these photos.
